Find Ethical Companies
There are good companies out there. You just can't find them.
We look for them on your behalf—and openly share the criteria we use to evaluate them: fairness toward people, animals, and the environment.

Fair to people, animals and the environment
There are many fair-trade products out there—it’s just that you usually can’t find them. Outside of trade shows and targeted searches, great brands remain hidden, and conventional products continue to end up on the shelves.
We’re currently building the resource center that will change all that. The first recommendations will be released soon. And because we don’t just want to claim transparency—we want to demonstrate it—you can follow along as we build it.
Here’s what “fair” specifically means to us:
We recommend only companies that meet all three criteria—verifiably, not just on paper.
Fair to people ...
A living wage and safe working conditions, both at the company and among its direct suppliers.
Fair to Animals ...
All-plant-based products, free of animal ingredients and not tested on animals.
Environmentally friendly ...
Raw materials from organic farming or from sources that meet verifiably equivalent standards.
HALL of FAIR® stands for:
Based on a set of open-ended criteria
No gut feelings: Firm criteria regarding the environment, animal welfare, and fairness form the basis. We are currently finalizing the catalog and will publish it in its entirety—before the first recommendation goes online.
Transparent for every recommendation
You'll not only see that we recommend a company, but also what criteria we use to make that recommendation. You'll also see what isn't quite right yet. No seal of approval will show you that.
Freedom of choice
We make editorial decisions about who to recommend—not based on financial considerations. Companies only pay if they want to use our recommendation themselves. This has no influence on our selection. Our prices will be publicly available.
By and for consumers
Do you know of a company or product that belongs here? Let us know—we're putting together our first selection right now, and your suggestion could help shape it. Suggest a company...
Without Claiming to Be Perfect
No company is perfect, and we don't claim to be either. We'll show you which companies are making a serious effort—and where they're still falling short.
